Introduction
St. Mary’s Academy of San Nicolas Alumni Association is an organization that symbolizes the accomplishment of school’s Vision, Mission and Goals. SMASN Alumni Association is a partner of the school, its students and the community. It has the potential to serve as resource for improvement of the school, support and mentoring of students and for the professional development of its members. The relationship between the alumni and its Alma Mater, SMASN should be a lifelong bond of mutual support and growth. This can be accomplished with committed, positive leadership and the support of the administration of St. Mary’s Academy of San Nicolas.
Vision
St. Mary’s Academy of San Nicolas Alumni Association will become a worthwhile “Must Join” organization for Gr. 10 –JHS completers. It will become an integral and highly visible member of SMASN academic community as well as strategic partner in support of the school’s mission, vision and goals.
Mission
The Mission of St. Mary’s Academy of San Nicolas Alumni Association is to support SMASN, and to maintain the network of professional, social and spiritual connections as Marian-Ignacian students in pursuit of lifelong learning for the glory of God.
Goals
This association concentrates on the following goals:
Awareness – to increase awareness of and membership in the Alumni Association through marketing, contact, and collaboration with alumni, students, the community and other SMASN/SNA Batches.
Engagement – to increase engagement so that the Alumni Association and the school will benefit from the diverse interests, talents, and backgrounds of our students and alumni
Family – to nurture the bonds that connect the Ignacian Marian family while re-connecting alumni and their families to the school and each other
Support Structure – promote the development of an Alumni Affairs Office with an administrator, staff and budget to continue the mission of the SMASN Alumni Association in perpetuity. To develop an Alumni Association structure, Constitution and by-laws.
Growth – to promote significant growth in membership through creating and nurturing partnerships and alliances inside and outside the School.
Community Service – to encourage alumni to share their knowledge, talents, and resources with the community
