RATIONALE:
The School is the nucleus of a neighborhood or community and believed to be the foundation for community partnerships that are beneficial to students, families, businesses, agencies, and other civic organizations. Furthermore, many of today's leaders in education, business and community development are coming to realize that schools alone cannot prepare our youth for productive adulthood. It is evident that schools and communities should work closely with each other to meet their mutual goal – to effect lasting change in the community.
The rationale of this program – Community Involvement Program, is to promote and intensify one’s social awareness that will conjure participation and involvement towards the realization of becoming communally responsible citizens in responding to the needs of the marginalized sector of society. It serves the community especially the adopted community in Barangay Duljo-Fatima by planning, organizing, facilitating and initiating school programs and projects that give the underprivileged the opportunity to enhance their skills and capabilities to become empowered citizens and agents of social transformation in the light of gospel truths and Ignacian core values.
